Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Coast
A chopper hovering above a popular California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers watched.
Recordings shared on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin over the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders said five people were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the chopper and were âsafely pulled from the wreckageâ following the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
