Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Update

Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to disclose full details via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Prior news stated the firm aimed to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, the organization had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented on the matter.
