New England equaled their top unbeaten stretch since the Tom Brady era as they overcame AFC East opponents the New York Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three TDs as the New England squad notched an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since legendary quarterback Tom Brady's final season with the team in the 2019 season

QB Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a TD, connecting on 25 out of 34 attempts

Victory increases the New England's lead at the top of the AFC East as they improved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York at the foot after slipping to a 2-8 mark

The Jets had gone in front at Gillette Stadium with quarterback Justin Fields scoring a short rushing score to finish the New York's initial series

But the home team fought back in the second quarter as Henderson rushed for two short rushing scores before the ball carrier grabbed a reception from Maye at the back of the endzone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21-7

"It was a big time for him rising to the challenge, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," the quarterback said of Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."

Justin Fields threw to Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to reduce the lead for the Jets but Andy Borregales converted a two kicks in the fourth quarter as the home side closed out the win
